How do I become an appointed agent?

What are the requirements to become an appointed agent?

 

At least 3 years in business.

P&C License

Minimum of $500,000 in Errors & Omission coverage

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

How long does it take to get approved?

Within three days from receipt of completed Contract

 

 

 

 

How much premium do I have to write?

$10,000 New Business each year

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Why do I have to send a copy of my driver's license?

This is required by our Insurance Carriers

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Do I have to use CIAPayExpress? (Link to FAQ Electronic Payments)

 

No, but we encourage you to use it.  You will save time and money.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Can you withdraw money from my checking account?

 

No. 

We only have access to released funds that you authorize.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

When do I receive my direct bill commissions?

 

On direct bill business, commissions are paid on a monthly basis.  Commissions are payable to your agency once we are paid directly from our carrier.
